Ignacio School district wants to partner with local businesses to support school activities and clubs, and don't forget to submit the free school lunch form to take advantage of the new Healthy School Meals for All initiative. Ignacio Public Library announced two new programs this fall geared towards teens and students. Teen Night, the third Monday of every month invites high school and middle school students for pizza and mini golf in the library from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The event is another way to connect with your peers in the community. Once a month come join Resident Mad Scientists, Mrs. Libby, for a day of hands-on science experiments on Silly Science Saturday. The science is geared toward elementary school ages but older and younger are welcome to attend. There is a $5 deposit and space is limited, so make sure to sign up in advance. Find information on these and other upcoming library events on the Ignacio Public Library website. Thanks to the passage of the new Healthy School Meals for All in the state of Colorado last year, all school districts can now offer free meals to everyone in each school district, regardless of financial status.
