This year's 46th annual snow down concluded with a total of 229 events packed into the span of a week, made possible with the help of more than 100 volunteers. 16 children from across Durango schools competed for the titles of King and Queen of Snow Down. Third graders Brynn Barrowclough and Cooper Flint, both students at Saint Columba, took the titles of King and Queen.

24 cyclists competed to claim indoor cycling supremacy in the 32nd annual roller races at Zia Taqueria. The time trial style format challenges racers to ride as far as possible over 15 minutes. Lauren Aguilar rode 16.06km to win the women's race, while James Hilyer traveled 17.46km to take the men's crown.

This year marks 41 years of the Follies with ten shows performed over six nights. As with every Snowtown event, volunteers were key to success. Follies producer Janalee Hogan said 83 volunteers made these shows happen. The Fashion Do's and Don'ts sold 600 tickets, with around 60 contestants walking the catwalk.

Snow down favorite. The 2025 Lights Parade spanned six blocks along Main Avenue, starting at College Drive and ending at 12th Street. The parade included a total of 60 floats, with the winner of Best in Parade going to Durango Kids Pediatrics. According to Downtown Durango Dot, an estimated crowd of 10,000 watched the parade.

Dozens of contestants entered both the chili cook off and Bloody Mary contest. Brett Roseanne Barr took home the title of judges choice of best Texas Red chili and people's choice for best red chili.

Best homestyle chili went to Jessica Jones, Marie Paul won best green chili, and Pat Page won best vegetarian chili for judges choice. For best bloody Mary is the judges choice, and People's Choice went to the bloody Good crew. That wraps up your 2025. Snowtown by the numbers.
