Wrap up Women's History Month with the Women's Resource Center's Extraordinary Women Award Dinner. The Ragtime Festival brings world renowned artists to Durango and the 19th annual Durango Bluegrass Meltdown will return in April. Wrap up Women's History Month by attending the Women's Resource Center's Extraordinary Women Award Dinner on March 26th. The event will honor extraordinary women in the community with a dinner, awards, heartfelt presentations, and a silent auction. The event will be at the DoubleTree Hotel from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Tickets may be purchased on the Women's Resource Center website. The Durango Ragtime Festival returns to Durango April 3rd through the 6th. Celebrate America's first original music genre with world and internationally-renowned ragtime and classic jazz musicians from around the United States. Artists will perform in Durango for four days of concerts, silent movies, seminars, and much more. All events will take place in the Durango Arts Center, or the Strater Hotel. Additional details on artists, scheduling, and tickets may be found on DurangoArts.org. April is full of music festivals. Durango Bluegrass Meltdown has been a Durango tradition since 1995 and will return April 11th through the 13th with three days of live performances, jam sessions, food and entertainment. The festival will feature a mix of national and local bluegrass artists. New this year is a free contra dance on Friday night at the American Legion.
