On Friday, April 10th, head over to Miller Middle School for Stillwater Music's Battle of the Bands. Bands will be competing for three prizes: Local Love awarded for raising the most funds, Fan Favorite for winning over the crowd, and Stage Stars for most creative costumes and stage presence. This is one of Stillwater Music's biggest fundraisers of the year, supporting youth music programs and scholarships. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7 PM. Admission is free. The Durango Bluegrass Meltdown returns April 10th through the 12th for three days of national, regional, and local bluegrass music across multiple downtown venues. Tickets are available online or in person at Animas Trading Company. For more information, visit durangomeltdown.com. And on Saturday, April 11th, the Colorado Black Equity Study is hosting a free community listening session at Fort Lewis College's Skyhawk Station, room one 18 from noon to 2:00 PM.
