Make your very own Frankenstein’s monster to celebrate Halloween - pick up a design from the library’s desk and remember to vote for your favorite! The Halloween Carnival promises to be a family-fun event, enjoy the celebrations with friends and family. Halloween is almost here. Make your own Frankenstein monster creation for the library and join the Halloween Carnival Fund on the 31st. Celebrate the end of the We Are Water Exhibit with a book discussion. Applications are open for the Agricultural Cost-Share Program with the SUIT Environmental Program. Ignacio Community Library invites you to celebrate the finale of the We Are Water Exhibit with a book discussion. Craig Child, the secret knowledge of water is available at the Library service desk and the copies are free to keep. The discussion will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 29th. Snacks will be provided. There is still time to participate in this year's Frankenstein decorating contest. Pick up your Frankenstein from the library, decorate it to your taste. and drop it off by October 28th. Make sure to vote for your favorite before November 1st when the winners will be announced. Come join a spooktacular Halloween Carnival on Tuesday, October 31st at the Sky Ute Casino Event Center. The Carnival starts at 6:00 PM and bring your best costume for the contest at 7:30 PM. Entry to the contest is free and there will be a variety of game booths and prizes. Some booths may charge fees. Come enjoy a safe, family friendly Halloween evening. SUIT Environmental Programs Department is now accepting applications for the 2024 cost-share program. The goals of the cost share program is to work with landowners to implement best management practices on lands within the reservations. Practices that are designed to improve rivers, keep water clean, and protect wildlife habitat. Proposed projects for the program will be scored on their potential to reduce agriculture related water pollution and improve water quality. Applications are due November 12th.
