Durango Transit has a new Main Street trolley, thanks to a grant from the Federal Transportation Administration. City of Durango received an FTA 5339 grant with an award of $165,000, which will enable the city to replace some of its aging fleet of vehicles. The Colorado Department of Transportation also awarded Durango Transit with a 2022 Multimodal Transportation and Mitigation Options Fund grant of $80,000, which will fund the development of a zero emission vehicle transition plan for the transit fleet. Plans are expected to be completed in early 2023. For more information about Durango Transit, visit durangotransit.com.
