THE UTECAFE IS SUPPLYING UP TO 100 TO-GO MEALS PER DAY FOR TRUCKERS DURINGAT LEAST THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.
TO KEEPEVERYONE SAFE FROM SPREADING CORONA, THE TRUCKERS ARE ASKED TO STAYIN THEIR TRUCKS, AND MEALS ARE BROUGHT TO THEM.
INADDITION TO MEALS, EACH TRUCKER RECEIVES A BAG WITH WATER ANDPRE-PACKAGED SNACKS (LIKE CRACKERS, JERKY, OR NUTS), WITH A COLOREDPICTURE OR THANK YOU CARD MADE BY AREA CHILDREN.
THE UTECAFE, LOCATED ON 17 S. BROADWAY, IN CORTEZ IS OPEN 6 AM TO 8 PM,MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, AND SUNDAYS 7:30 AM TO 1:30 PM (EXCEPTEASTER) WITH RESTROOMS OPEN TO TRUCKERS.
AS ANADDED BONUS, PASSELL SAYS, “NOT ONLY ARE WE HELPING TRUCKERS, THISPROGRAM HELPS THE UTE CAFE STAY IN BUSINESS DURING THE STAY-AT-HOMEORDER.”
