The ParkMobile app will allow you to add time to a meter remotely as well as track the parking time left. Up to five vehicles can be added to a single account on the app, but be forewarned, you'll pay a 40 cent convenience fee when you use the ParkMobile app. However, you can continue to use coins and credit cards without the added convenience fee. Visit the City of Durango website for more information. The La Plata Electric Association seeks applications for college interns who want hands-on experience in the energy industry. Paid internships are available for information technology, marketing, graphic design, or finance. In turn, work schedules will accommodate class schedules. Positions are available for spring, summer, or fall semesters. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. The La Plata County Office of Emergency Management will prepare for wildfire season with its fifth annual wildfire evacuation exercise. The department will conduct a CodeRED alert test on Sunday, April 20th. With this year's dry winter, La Plata County residents are urged to sign up for CodeRED alerts, an emergency notification system that enables local public safety agencies to notify residents and businesses about time-sensitive information, emergency evacuations, or urgent notifications. Throughout the week of April 21st, Emergency Management will conduct simulations of fires, floods, power outages, and dam failures to prepare responders for each scenario. The show will be on April 25th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Durango Arts Center. The event begins at 6:00 PM with a happy hour and live music from local band Alex Graf and Friends. The show starts shortly after at 7:00 PM and will showcase eight comedians who will face a panel of three judges that will vote for several best of comedy categories.
